Why does my dishwasher not pump the water away?

Why does my tumble dryer no longer dry?
On a heat pump dryer the condenser is almost always the cause. Lint clogs the fins, the air cannot get through and the laundry stays damp. Clean the lint filter after every cycle and the plinth filter every month. If the laundry stays damp, a technician is needed.
Why does my tumble dryer overflow with water?
The reservoir overflows because the pump no longer lifts the water, or because the float switch is stuck. If a fixed drain has been fitted, first check that the hose is not kinked behind the appliance.
Why does my fridge no longer cool?
On a fridge that no longer cools it is often the fan of the no-frost system, an iced-up evaporator or the thermostat. First check whether the door seals still close and whether the back of the appliance is not pressed flat against the wall.

The leak is sealed inside the polyurethane foam of the back wall and cannot be reached. Locating it, soldering, vacuuming and refilling together cost more than the residual value of the appliance, with no long term certainty.
