Beko washing machine repair at home
Is your Beko no longer draining, not spinning or leaking water? Below you can read what the cause usually is and what you can try yourself. If that doesn’t work, a technician comes to your home.
Beko washing machines are affordable and reliable, but after a few years they too start to act up. Most faults we see are in the same parts: the drain pump, the door lock, the door seal and the bearings. A full filter or an unevenly spread load you can sort out yourself. For the rest you need a technician, who repairs the appliance at your home.
We carry out Beko washing machine repairs at home across Belgium. The diagnosis costs €69. If you decide not to go ahead, that’s all you pay. If you choose the repair, it costs a maximum of €179 in total.

Common faults on a Beko washing machine
These are the faults we see most often on Beko washing machines. If your machine shows an error code, note it down and mention it when you book: the technician reads the code on site.
| Symptom | Most likely cause | DIY fix |
|---|---|---|
| Won't drain | Blocked lint filter or faulty drain pump. | Partly |
| Won't spin | Bearing, suspension spring or control board. Sometimes just an unevenly spread load. | Partly |
| Leaks | Door seal (gasket) or pump. | No |
| Door won't open | Faulty door lock or child lock switched on. | Partly |
| Makes noise | Worn bearing or a loose drum counterweight. | No |
| Shows an error code | Depends on the code; the technician reads it on site. | No |
If the last column says No, the fault involves mains-powered parts or electronics. Working on those yourself is dangerous and often makes the damage worse. Book a technician instead.
Beko washing machine problems explained
Why won’t my Beko washing machine drain?
If water stays in the drum, the lint filter is usually full or the drain pump is faulty. Start with the filter.
- Unplug the machine and open the flap at the bottom of the front.
- Have a shallow tray or an old towel ready: more water comes out than you expect.
- Let the water run out through the emergency drain hose, if your model has one.
- Unscrew the filter anticlockwise and remove coins, buttons and lint.
- Screw the filter back in firmly clockwise and check that the drain hose at the back isn’t kinked.
- Start a short drain programme.
If the machine still won’t drain with a clean filter, the drain pump is faulty. That is a routine repair.
Why won’t my Beko washing machine spin?
First check that the load isn’t unevenly spread. A single heavy towel or a pair of jeans can make the machine refuse to spin. Spread the laundry out and start a spin programme. If it still doesn’t work, it’s usually a worn bearing, a broken suspension spring or the control board that drives the motor. A technician needs to check that.
Why is my Beko washing machine leaking?
If the water comes out at the front, check the door seal for cracks or holes, including in the fold at the bottom. A blocked or overflowing detergent drawer can also leave water at the front. If the water comes from under the machine, the leak is usually at the pump or an internal hose. Turn off the tap and unplug the machine until a technician has been.
Why won’t the door of my Beko washing machine open?
After a programme, the door sometimes stays locked for a minute or two; wait a moment. If there’s still water in the drum, the door won’t open for safety reasons: drain the water first. Also check that the child lock isn’t on; how to switch it off is in the manual for your model. If the door stays shut, the door lock is faulty.
Why is my Beko washing machine so noisy?
A rumbling or grinding noise that gets louder during the spin usually points to a worn bearing. A banging noise can come from a loose drum counterweight. Also check that there’s no object in the drum or between the drum and the tub, such as a bra wire or a coin. Don’t keep running the machine with that noise for long: the damage quickly gets worse.
My Beko washing machine shows an error code: what now?
Note the code on the display, together with the model number. That is usually on a sticker in the door opening. Try a reset first, as described below. If the code comes back, mention it when you book. The technician reads it on site and knows straight away where to look.
Beko washing machine won't start or shows a fault
Why won’t my Beko washing machine start?
First check in the fuse box that the circuit for the washing machine hasn’t tripped, and that the plug is firmly in the socket. Is the child lock on? How to switch it off depends on the model and is explained in the manual. Close the door again until you hear a click. Then unplug the machine for a minute and try again. If it still won’t start, the control board or the door lock is usually faulty.
How do I reset a Beko washing machine?
A reset won’t fix a mechanical fault, but it does clear a code that has got stuck. Turn the programme dial to Off, unplug the machine and wait five minutes. Plug it back in and choose a short programme, such as rinse or drain. If the same code comes straight back, something really is broken and resetting again won’t help.
How do I prevent faults on my Beko washing machine?
Three habits make the difference. Clean the lint filter regularly: a full filter causes most drainage problems. Once a month, run an empty wash at 90 degrees with a machine cleaner or citric acid, because washing cold leaves grease, soap and limescale in the drum and on the heating element. And go easy on the detergent; for lightly soiled laundry, half the recommended dose is often enough.
Your Beko working again, with no surprises

We are not an authorised Beko service partner and we don't pretend to be. We are an independent repair service. For you, that mainly means: no waiting list of several weeks, a fixed price you know in advance, and a technician who works on Beko and other washing machines every day.
We repair every Beko washing machine, including the EcoSmart and ProSmart Inverter models and the newer ranges with energy label A. We use original or equivalent-quality parts, and the technician tells you beforehand which part is needed and what it costs.
If your appliance is still under the manufacturer's warranty, we refer you to Beko or to the shop where you bought it. A repair by us could void that warranty, and that is not in your interest.
Where do we repair Beko washing machines at home?
Our technicians work in Antwerp, the Brussels-Capital Region, East Flanders, West Flanders, Flemish Brabant, Limburg, Liège, Namur, Hainaut and Walloon Brabant.
Do your technicians have to travel from Vilvoorde every morning?
No. Our technicians live all over Belgium and set off each morning from their own town. The parts they need are delivered straight to their home. That way we reach you quickly, without long drives and often as soon as the next working day.
Not a Beko, or a different appliance?
Our washing machine repair page lists the symptoms and prices for every brand. Is another Beko appliance broken, such as a dishwasher or tumble dryer? See our Beko repair service page. And if a second appliance is faulty besides your washing machine, we repair it during the same visit for 80 euros extra.
